Global Photography Campaign : « Humanizing development »

Development is often pictured by desolate and hopeless images. Nevertheless, there are numerous positive and constructive initiatives that are changing the lives of millions.

How to see development? How to present the human side of development processes? How are development initiatives and projects contributing to better lives? International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth launches this global “Humanizing development” campaign to raise awareness of the successes in the development process. This campaign, which was launched on the 1st of June 2009, aims to show examples of people winning the battle against poverty, social exclusion and marginalization.

Everyone can participate by filing his/her photos before the 1st of October. The pictures should illustrate one of the 14 themes that are linked to the Millennium Goals. All the details are on the campaign’s website.
